Contradictions
I find contradictory things curious.
The latest was sitting at the traffic lights just up the road from home when I looked at the side of the truck next to me ... it read ... Rail Transport ...
I'm still not sure how that worked as I was on a road at the time ... well I hope I was ... If not; I was very, very lost.
Maybe they are really opposites rather than contradictions.
I went for a bit of a tootle on the bike about a month and a half ago and ended up, yup again, stationary at a set of traffic lights surrounded by B-doubles and feeling ... well really really small. I've not yet over come the instinct to look around and catch glimpses of me and my bike in the shiney bits of trucks (like their fuel tanks) as she is still only new and my looking around and glances up at the rather large B-Double that pulled up next to me (the mental thought at the time was 'you just stay there mate') when the driver leaned on the window and called down to me 'rather pleased with her arn't you? I laughed and admitted yes (hey I still have an L plate on her and she is obviously new so hey what other answer could I give) and we had a chat from our vantage points about bikes and things.
The contrast in our vehicles did amuse me and I wish that I'd had a photo of us.
